The tent has a wooden deck with a sea view. There is a four seater table with benches on the deck. The tent contains 4 beds and an adjoining bathroom with a hot water walk-in shower, toilet and basin . There is a fridge in the tent. A collapsible babycot is available on request. There is a rustic outdoor shared kitchenette with a sink and gas cooker (no electricity). Here you can prepare hot beverages and simple meals. We supply mugs, plates, cutlery, pots and a water kettle; as well as coffee, tea, sugar, salt and oil. There is a small portable bbq/braai (bring charcoal). You are also welcome to bring your own braai/ bbq and set it up around the tent. Our horses and sheep are free roaming and graze around the tents for a couple of hours during the day. Our 3 dogs are friendly and playful. The electricity supply in the tent is from solar panels and batteries (no load shedding). There are 3 lights in the tent as well as a socket. (Please use the socket only for light power appliances such as phone chargers, tablets and computers, and not for a kettle, hair dryer or iron). A portable rechargeable lamp is provided for outdoor use. You can drink the water from the inside taps and kitchenette. The playground may be enjoyed by children and adults alike (at own risk). Wilderness is a high fire risk area - no open fires please! Smoking is allowed, but not inside the tent.
Experience the fun of sleeping in a spacious tent on our little farm! Enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by our friendly horses, dogs and sheep... Glamping is camping without the hassle of packing all that gear! Your beds are made, your bathroom is ensuite (no shared ablutions!) From your deck you have a view of the spectacular Indian Ocean and forest. Wilderness' pristine beach is a quick 5min drive down the hill...
Wilderness and its surrounds is a hidden gem on the Garden Route. We have beautiful, clean, uncrowded beaches and spectacular walks and hikes nearby. You can paraglide at the Map of Africa viewpoint just down our road; cycle the scenic Seven Passes road; or canoe on the lakes/ rivers. There is also surfing, kite surfing, horseback riding and golfing nearby. Trees and Seas glamping is located on a hill above the Wilderness village and we are a 5 min drive from the village centre and the beach. The village offers a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores as well as a market on Sundays. A 20 min drive will take you to the Garden Route Mall in George and the airport is 30 mins away.
