Our journey to leaving suburban Cape Town began as a pretty normal 4-day getaway, a simple fishing trip on the banks of the Breede River, we packed up our kayaks and rods and set off on an adventure that would change our lives. The surrounding area and the people we met spoke to us in such a way that before we knew it 10 days had passed, we’d bought a beautiful piece of land and got the bonus of a thrilling adoption package deal and had the joy of watching a brood of 6 little kittens enter this world and grow up. September 2019 was an epic adventure filled with stories to be told around campsite fires and Villa Tarentaal, surrounded by mountains, gardens and beautiful people is the epitome of how life should be enjoyed. Joanne, a past slave to the corporate world and Angie, with an innate love for nature decided it was time to embrace life and so began our journey in the beautiful valley of Tulbagh. We welcome you and hope that while you visit and explore, that you may discover some of the same captivating brilliance that is this place we call home. We didn’t find Tulbagh, Tulbagh found us!
