Beautiful spot on a private game reserve. This lovely self-catering accommodation is in the midst of natures beauty and wildlife. Listen to the sounds of animals and birds in this tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This is the perfect place to unwind, relax and recharge in a secure estate, surrounded by enormous acacia trees with captivating bush views. This is the ultimate getaway to enjoy the peace and quite of the bushveld.
Located near the central Drakensburg between Champagne Valley and Cathedral Peak. 2.5 hours from Durban and 4 hours from JHB.
Open plan living with spacious entertainment areas and beautiful bush views. 4 bedrooms (2 main bedrooms en-suite with Queen size extra length beds and 2 twin bedrooms with 2 single beds in each) 3 full bathrooms, 2 lounges, 8 seater dining room, 2 patios and well equipped kitchen. WIFI and DSTV. Fully integrated inverter power backup system. Sleep 8 comfortably.
The house is located on a secure estate on a small game farm ensuring privacy, peace and quiet. Guests can enjoy walks / runs / MTB cycling on the farm.
There are a couple of small dams where you can enjoy fishing on a catch and release basis. There is a Communal swimming pool on the estate which is near the main farmhouse which is a short walk from The Giraffe House which is secured by a wooden fenced enclosure.
The Giraffe house is on a private game reserve on a FARM. PLEASE NOTE that access to the farm is along a gravel district road which can be muddy and potholed in the summer months. All roads on the farm are also gravel and can be bumpy.
The Giraffe House is located near the Central Drakensberg World Heritage Site. This area is a haven for the avid hikers, mountain bikers and golfers. It is also relatively close accommodation for various sporting events in the area, being The Berg and Bush MTB race, The Oxpecker Trail Run and The Kudu Canter Trail run.
There is plenty to do in the area including hiking in the mountains from Monks Cowl or Cathedral Peak, exploring restaurants, visiting the brewery, wine tasting at Cathedral Peak Wine Farm, hot air ballooning and much more.
There are plenty of nearby restaurants including: The Farmer's Fork, Thokosiza, The Waffle Hut and The Griller. Cathedral Peak Wine is also close by. There is no public transport such as busses or uber in our area.
