Company information

We bought the Nuwerus small holding in 2012. It took us 18 months to renovate it into a guest house. We live on the property and run it as a family business. We love to meet all the interesting guests from all over South Africa and abroad.

Property information

Nuwerus Lodge is located on a smallholding that produces pecan nuts and olives. The property is approximately 3 kilometers from the main town of Paarl. Only a few minutes drive to the town centre, Nuwerus is conveniently close to the mall and the N1 highway, but still retains the feeling of being in the winelands. Guest can enjoy the beautiful garden and open spaces that Nuwerus offers. There are 10 beautifully appointed rooms, each with its own entrance and patio overlooking the garden. The pool area is the perfect place to relax on your deck chair with a self-help honesty bar located at the pool area. Even though we are not self-catering, Nuwerus Lodge has just added a lovely braai/barbecue area for our guests to make use of when you don't feel like going out to dinner or lunch.

Neighbourhood information

We love living in the winelands, being surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the mountain ranges, amazing wine farms and excellent restaurants. There is always something to do in the area. Whether its wine, chocolates or cheese tasting, hiking in and around the mountains or shopping in the villages nearby. Paarl has a lot to offer all busy and very relaxed visitors.
