Misty Hills Country Hotel, Conference Centre and Spa is set in the heart of the Kromdraai Valley, close to The Cradle of Human Kind World Heritage Site. Surrounded by lush gardens and natural forests, the elegantly furnished and stone-built thatched rooms and suites are all equipped with satellite TV, a telephone, and tea- and-coffee making facilities. The private bathrooms are fitted with a bath and shower. Carnivore Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and specializes in game and domestic meats. Vegetarian dishes are also available. Guests can enjoy a traditional barbecues or buffet food around a campfire at the Lapa. Misty Hills also has a coffee shop for light snacks. Guests can unwind in 2 swimming pools, go for a workout in the well equipped gym or get pampered at the spa, which offers a variety of massages and beauty treatments. There is also a children’s pool and playground. Other facilities at Misty Hills include a 24-hour front desk, an exhibition centre, and several conference, banquet and meeting facilities. The hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Lanseria airport and 24 km from Johannesburg. The Sterkfontein Caves can be reached within 20 minutes by car.
