Karin and Christoff developed the property a few years ago, and they constantly upgraded and refreshed the decor and facilities to ensure the clients enjoyed the luxury and comfort of Le Petit Bijou.

Property information

Le Petit Bijou is set in the heart of Franschhoek, the food and wine capital of South Africa. Award-winning Le Petit Bijou means "the little jewel" and more than lives up to its name. Each 5-star suite is beautifully designed in boutique fashion and includes all the luxuries of home and more. Enjoy your stay with us while our staff takes care of the cleaning and your laundry. Relax at our rooftop communal swimming pool (seasonal solar heated), which features lovely loungers or private seating. Each suite has a private balcony and secure parking (one car per unit). The property has a complete off-grid solar power solution and is unaffected by load-shedding.

Neighbourhood information

We are situated on the main road in the centre of Franschhoek Village, within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, art galleries and activities. The nearest airport is Cape Town International, 48.6km from the property. A paid shuttle service is available on request. Enjoy visiting the wine farms (with the Wine Tram, Wine Hopper, and TukTuk Wine Experience), the Motor Museum, the Perfume Museum, various spas, the Huguenot Memorial Museum and Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve. Sporting activities include several championship golf courses nearby, a gymnasium (optional extra), magnificent hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, and mountain biking and cycling in the village.
