Our self-catering Klein Nektar Farm Cottage, nestled amongst the olive trees, present you with a very different type of getaway. This two-bedroom, one-bathroom fully equipped cottage is off the grid; there is no electricity and no Wi-Fi. Solar-powered lamps, a gas water heater, gas fridge/freezer and gas stove/oven all ensure you have the mod cons to make life comfortable. This charming, private cottage with farm style look and feel has an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with a spectacular, deep shaded wrap-around terrace. The combustion stove will ensure you keep warm and cosy on cold evenings. Enjoy a traditional braai in the private garden with stunning mountain and olive grove views. The Cottage is also equipped with a private “Kol-Kol” wood-fired hot tub, perfect for sundowners on a hot Montagu evening. Although the cottage is within easy walking distance of all the restaurants and shops in Montagu, it feels as though you are on a quiet farm in the middle of the country… far away from civilization. Lack of electronics will ensure that you rest up in peace. All this is for your own private use as you will be the only guests at the Klein Nektar Self-Catering Cottage
Klein Nektar is certainly one the most prominent “town-farms” of Montagu. Its owners have taken careful consideration of the farms’ history and its reputation as a “must do” destination when travelling to the Klein Karoo, the Robertson Wine region or taking an expansive tour on Route 62. Book your stay and experience the breathtaking landscape and tranquillity of the region that we fondly refer to as the 'Platteland'.
