St. Lucia is home to both the iSimangaliso Wetland Park – a World Heritage Site, protected for its plethora of species and natural diversity as well as the Hluluwe-Imfolozi Park, the oldest game reserve in Africa where Zulu kings such as Dingiswayo and Shaka hunted and put in place the first conservation laws, and home to the African ‘Big Five’. Along with this, St. Lucia and surrounds offer exceptional beaches, making for world-class fishing, diving and whale watching in this region. The Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park is just under an hour from Lake View Cabanas, and offers game drives throughout the reserve daily.
