We are Steve and Karen, affectionately known as Mr and Mrs Wild, nicknamed for our adventurous spirit and love of wildlife. We are passionate about nature, hiking, the outdoors, animals, photography, travel and beer. We are happy to share tips about our favorite hikes, restaurants, and breweries. We love to meet new people and trade travel stories. There are no strangers here; just friends you have not yet met! We look forward to welcoming you to your home away from home in Asheville :)

Property information

The Lion and the Rose has been a Bed and Breakfast since 1985. This beautiful pink lady was built in 1898 with details of stained glass and golden oak throughout the house. This lovely Queen Anne home offers a lot of communal space for guest use including a large wrap around porch, a backyard fire pit and wildlife certified gardens. There is a 24/7 guest pantry with complimentary light snacks, soft drinks, water and a selection of teas. There is also a full size refrigerator, freezer and microwave for you to use during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you with a complimentary pint of our own beer and warm hospitality.
