Nestled in the heart of the Catskills, our charming Georgian Garden Inn is a true sanctuary in the mountains. Surrounded by the natural beauty we are the perfect place for your getaway. Newly renovated this Historic Windham Estate harmoniously combines all the amenities of a modern hotel with an antique charm of a late 19th century home. Build by a German physician Wein Hauer, this house served as his residence and a private practice office. In 1945 the house was sold and converted to a hotel.The original guestbook dating back to 1946 was preciously kept as a historical artifact and is available for viewing.We lovingly retained and restored all the historical detailing for you to appreciate original moldings, stairways, pieces of furniture and vintage items in your room. Preserved in its pristine beauty our magnificent fireplace is a true gem of the house. After the whole day of skiing or hiking relax in a rocking chair and let the flickering flames take you back in time. While being close to the center, our guests can still enjoy the seclusion and privateness of our location that makes Georgian Garden Inn a true mountain retreat. In the meantime, we are just 1.6 miles from the Windham Mountain Resort, one of the most popular skiing resorts in the Catskills, and just 9 miles from Hunter Mountain.Windham Country Club is just a 15- minute walk, making our Bed and Breakfast an ideal place for golfers. If you love hiking the Winham Path, a 1.5 mile scenic loop, is just a 17-minute walk from Georgian Garden Inn. Such a close proximity lets you walk, not drive, to the starting point of one of the most scenic trails in the Catskills.
