We love meeting travelers from all around the world and are excited to have you experience the greater Zion area. We have a self check-in process and won't always be on-site but are always available by phone to resolve any guest concerns and to help you have a comfortable stay. We are highly active outdoor adventurers like all our guests and are excited to share our knowledge and love of the area.

Located in beautiful Colorado City, Arizona, Desert Sage Retreat provides unique accommodations with our canvas tent and covered wagon rentals. Our various sizes of simple yet accommodating tents and wagons are designed with complete convenience in mind and are perfect for those adventurers on the move. Enjoy amazing views of the greater Zion area and night-time stargazing from your front porch or while relaxing around your personal campfire. Desert Sage Retreat is conveniently located less than an hour from Zion National Park as well as within two hours of Bryce Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon North Rim. We are surrounded by world-class mountain biking, hiking, and sightseeing destinations including various popular state parks and recreation areas. Come join us for a unique camping experience that offers a fun adventurous stay without giving up those important comforts of home.

Neighbourhood information

Colorado City, AZ is less than an hour drive from world renowned Zion National Park. The town is also surrounded by an array of other popular outdoor attractions including Water Canyon Trail, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Maxwell Park, Cottonwood Park, Gooseberry Mesa, Little Creek Mesa and the Arizona Strip. Guests can choose from a variety of activities including hiking, canyoneering, mountain biking, and off-road UTV rides to name a few. In town, you will also find several dining options, full service grocery store, winery, micro-brewery, and several gas stations all within five minutes of the campground.
