As someone who has always loved meeting new people, I saw hosting as the perfect way to connect with others, exchange cultures, and help travelers discover the hidden treasures of Entebbe/Uganda. By profession, I am a nurse, and caring for people is at the heart of everything I do. Nursing has taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of making others feel comfortable and safe. I bring these same values into hosting. From preparing a clean, cozy room to making sure you have everything you need, I see each guest as someone to be cared for—just as I would a patient, a friend, or a family member. What motivates me most is knowing that I can be part of someone’s travel memories. Maybe it’s your first time in Uganda, or maybe you’ve visited before, but I want your stay to be unforgettable. Just a 10 minutes drive (or a 30 minutes walk) from Kandez Holiday Home are the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a 40 hectare Oasis on the shores of Lake Victoria that was established in 1898, showcasing a diverse collection of tropical plants and offering a tranquil escape. The Mabamba Swamp on Lake Victoria in Entebbe is a renowned location for spotting the enigmatic shoebill stork.
