Company information

Årås Säteri and Trädgårdar is owned and managed by a non-profit organization: Bygdegårdsföreningen Årås kvarn. They bought the mill-building in 1983 and started renovating it, followed by a couple of wings in the 90-s and then the large mansion building, dating back to 1521, was incorporated in 2011. The place is unique in that there are so many supportive people helping out with maintenance as well as arranging a variety of events during the whole year open for all to participate.

Welcome to historic Årås Säteri och Trädgårdar, i. e. Årås manor and gardens, with lodging in picturesque buildings and a beautiful event location in the old mill Årås Kvarn. Located in the small village Kölingared, an oasis right by the river Tidan, this is the perfect starting point to discover our beautiful countryside. here you will find several trails suitable for bike or walking. You are also welcome to use our boules court, rent a canoe and or bikes or go for a ”fika” in the garden cafe during the summer season.
