Under two thatched roofs nestle warm and resin-scented interiors, made entirely of natural wood. The half-hectare terrain is surrounded by traditional walls, constructed with stones from the Dunajec River in the Tatra Mountains. Ranczo Pod Strzechą offers two atmospheric thatched houses open to all, located in the charming village of Barcinek, whose name derives from beehives.
When my grandfather Stanislaw came here in 1945, he immediately fell in love with this place and never wanted to leave. I understand him very well and I am very grateful to him, because, if it wasn’t for him, there would be no Ranczo Pod Strzechą, there would be no incredible story written by myself and my Guests every day...
Ranczo Pod Strzechą is distinguished by an extremely attractive location - between Szklarska Poręba and Świeradów-Zdrój at national road 30. It is certainly an important information for fans of mountain sports! In addition, thanks to the setting on a slight rise from the garden, the Queen of the Karkonosze from Karpacz is visible - the beautiful and proud Śnieżka (1602 m above sea level). An additional advantage of our location is the proximity of forest of lily of the valley, Pilchowicki Lake and the Bóbr river, where canoeing takes place.
