The down-stairs apartment of our home is spacious and tastefully furnished with a mid-century inspired decor that features furniture and fittings by Mart Stam, Noguchi and Poulsen. A Tretchikov print is a feature in the living room. The apartment has two bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom plus a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a laundry. The property has a heat-pump and underfloor heating - super warm when it needs it needs to be. In the bathrooms you will find quality linens and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser & shower gel (no bar-soap). The two bedrooms each have a queen bed with electric blankets (in winter). A third fold-out type bed is available for a 5th guest at an additional cost. On request, the third bed can be made available if guests prefer not to share a queen bed at an additional cost. The south-facing open-plan kitchen living space has fantastic views of the lake, The Remarkables (mountain range) and across to Kelvin Heights. Secure storage is available for bikes/sports gear/ski gear on request. Unlimited high-speed wifi and Netflix/58" 'Smart TV'. We welcome children and families and while the apartment is quite safe, we make no statement as to the overall suitability of the apartment for children; there are no internal no stairs, no fires, no gas appliances but parents must accept responsibility for the safety of their children. It is anticipated that parents will take reasonable steps to minimise mess made by children, such as food on the floor and sticky fingers on the furniture and windows. The word 'Heights' in the name is a clue to the fact that we are up a hill which gives us great views. If you are planning to walk, town is an easy down-hill walk but coming back up may be a challenge for some. Please note that there is a sloping drive then 15 steps down to the apartment, so the apartment may not be suitable for people with poor mobility.

I am a NZ-born (Gore, Eastern Southland) Queenstown resident of 29 years. A NZ registered nurse, I work part-time at the local hospital. My partner, Grant is an Australian-born (Cooma, NSW) burnt-out chef now working in food retail. So we like to eat...and drink - need I say more? A Domestic-Short-Hair in tortoise-shell by the name of 'Indie-Puss', (a rescued cat) graciously allows us to share her house.... I sing in two local choirs (tenor, but like a lot of males, more baritone).The choir is a real buzz when it goes well but embarrasing when it doesn't. I try to stay fit but that is losing its appeal as the years pass. We are proud of the accommodations we have on offer; we have put considerable thought, time and effort toward making them as comfortable as possible for our guests whom we are confident will be very comfortable.

Set in an established part of Queenstown, Queenstown Hill, we are on a quiet street. According to a web site which has maps we are 6.5km from the airport; from downtown Queenstown we are 1.7km (3 minute drive) or an easy down hill walk to the clubs, pubs and shops; 650m to the closest bus stop. An inexpensive taxi ride back up the hill with your bags if you have shopped-up a storm or been partying so hard you have used up your remaining energy!
