Leigh Cottage is a new, warm 3 bedroom home on a private section. Private garaging and off-street parking for your convenience. Our home is comfortable and spacious for larger groups or couples. All bedding has alpacas duvets to ensure a great night's sleep. Double-glazing and inverter heat pump to keep you cosy in winter or cool in summer. Take time out to relax and enjoy our large BBQ area taking in the views of Fiordland National Park. Unlimited Wi-FI available Plunger coffee and tea's available
Leigh Cottage is situated in beautiful Manapouri, on the edge of the Fiordland National Park. Manapouri is a small but friendly township. Just a five-minute walk to the departure point to Doubtful Sound. “The Church” Restaurant and Bar is where you will find the locals. Grab a coffee and stroll along the beachfront, take your time, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Keep an eye out for beautiful birdlife. Fiordland is known as the ‘Walking capital of the world’. With many kilometres of tracks to explore. Three of the nine New Zealand great walks are located in the area, these are The Kepler, Milford and Routeburn Track. There is plenty to do for the avid fisherman. Lake Manapouri and the ‘Mighty’ Waiau river offer excellent angling opportunities being well stocked with both, brown and rainbow trout.
