If you are looking for olde world charm combined with luxurious comfort, this is the ideal accommodation for you. One of Tekapo’s original homes, Aldourie Lodge has been wonderfully re-furnished and is uniquely positioned in an established garden setting only 100 meters from Tekapo’s lakefront and the Church of the Good Shepherd. Brimming with history, the main wing offers a warm, inviting living space, opening out onto a secluded sunny patio with views through the garden foliage to the Church and Lake Tekapo. A large modern kitchen and dining room makes preparing food and dining together a pleasure, or alternatively cross the iconic Tekapo footbridge for a short walk into the village eateries. A gas fire and air conditioning ensures this area is warm whatever the season. The cozy library ‘Den’ is steeped in artifacts from years gone by & stacked with reading material; a wonderful private space to escape to at the end of the day. A spacious queen bedroom beckons, along with the beautifully renovated bathroom with bath, shower and underfloor heating. A connecting annex includes 2 more lovely bedrooms and a second bathroom and full laundry facilities. The Lake Tekapo foreshore walkway can be accessed directly across the road, leading to the village centre in one direction and following the lakefront to the Tekapo Regional Park in the other.
