The home is shared by four generations of Hlimis, all eager to make your stay an authentic, enjoyable, and unforgettable one, whether in refreshing repose, serene sleep, sumptuous nourishment, or engaging activities.

Property information

Welcome to the Hlimi house: a snug familial abode nestled in the "medina" (old city) of Fes - five minutes from its principal entrance, Bab Baljoud - and as overflowing in enchanting eccentricities as the city itself. We offer rooms for every kind of traveller: an exotic (and romantic) de luxe ensuite, a spacious suite for a family, a standard double, and a simple yet charming single. The latter three (rarely all occupied at once) share a large and well-maintained bathroom with shower as well as a separate washroom. The whole house has high-pressured hot water all day every day & is cleaned & cared for regularly and meticulously. An opulent breakfast, as well as tea & nibbles throughout the day, are included in the fare. Oh, and of course, we have a wonderful (two-levelled) terrase with stunning views of the medina and mountains.

Neighbourhood information

We are a five-minute walk away from Bab Baljoud (the "Blue Gate"), which is the main entrance to the old "medina" and which is known by all and amply signed. To find our home, pass through the gate into the medina, follow the pedestrian way ("Talaa Sghira") as it zig-zags through a series of restaurants; when it straightens out and heads downhill, you'll pass two alleyways on your left, followed by a stretch of unadorned brick wall also on your left (a side of "Medressa Bouanana"), at the end of which is an arched alley on the left: this is Tariana, which you'll want to turn into. After this point, you're less than two minutes away and will be led by signs for "Famille Hlimi": just take your second right and follow that alleyway just past Dar Tahrya and our home is on the right.
