Offering views of Tanigawa-dake Mountain, the peaceful Japanese rooms at Bettei Senjyuan include a private hot-spring bath and traditional futon beds. A member of Relais & Chateaux, it boasts a spa, luxurious Japanese cuisine and 6 public hot-spring baths. This hotel was selected as one of the Best Small Hotels in Japan by TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award 2015. Tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens create a zen mood in the rooms at Bettei Senjyuan Ryokan. Each is air-conditioned, with a flat-screen satellite TV and an en suite shower and toilet. JR Minakami Train Station is a 10-minute ride away on the hotel’s free shuttle. It is a 15-minute drive to locations where guests can try canyoning activities. Tanigawa-dake Ropeway is a 30-minute drive. The lobby has free Wi-Fi. Relaxation options include massages, a sauna and a quiet read in the library. A Japanese breakfast and multi-course kaiseki dinner are served at a private dining room. Seasonal specialities featuring local vegetables and beef are served.
