Villa La Piccioncina is a beautiful and romantic nineteenth-century dwelling, nestled in the green hills of Arcetri, a stone's throw from Arcetri, where the homonymous atrophysical observatory is, and Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most exclusive areas of Florence. This beautiful Villa with garden, 10 minutes drive from the center of Florence, is the ideal place to visit the beauties of the city and then return to relax surrounded by greenery and quiet, away from the hustke & bustle of the city. The Villa is inserted in an evocative and characteristic village that rises on the hill of Monteripaldi. There is evidence of its existence as early as 1200 but the last renovation dates back to the nineteenth century. The four large bedrooms have recently been carefully restored: each room is unique and elegantly furnished with original 19th century furniture. Antique furniture and attention to detail embellish each room and create evocative atmosphere of the past, giving guests a unique and unforgettable experience.

Just 10 minutes driving from the center of Florence and a few steps from Pian de 'Giullari, the Villa is located on the hill of Monteripaldi, a small charming "borgo" built on the hills of Arcetri.At a short distance from the Astrophysical Observatory and Pian de 'Giullari, the property dominates the below valley of Ema river. Ideal for couples or families, the area offers the opportunity to have beautiful strolls among woods on the hill, surrounded by breathtaking views over Florence and the countryside. Nearby there is an excellent and well-known family-run restaurant with typical Florentine cuisine as well as the bus stop. Yet car is recommended . In 10 minutes you can drive to Porta Romana, through which you enter the historic center, and where you can find what ever you may need during your stay: banks, pharmacies, bars, bakeries, ice cream shops, pizzerias, restaurants, supermarket, hairdressers, laundry and, each morning, a little street market where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables. In a few minutes you can also drive to Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can enjoy a stunning view of Florence, and magnificent sunsets over the city.
