A down-to-earth mentality along with a pinch of vision and a good dollop of passion are the driving force behind Joachim’s pursuit of tradition-conscious craftsmanship on the organic farm. His cows, calves, goats, ducks, donkeys and cats are dear to his heart, as is their well-being. He is always happy to let young aspiring farmers lend a hand.

Untermairhof is located away from the small village of Mühlwald in the beautiful Ahrntal Valley. In the middle of nature is the vacation home with a huge garden, sunbathing area, children's playground, volleyball, trampoline and barbecue area. The youth room with darts, table soccer and table tennis and the children's playroom with library are just a few of the many ways to make the most of your time. Countless hikes can be started directly from the apartment and lead straight into adventure. The ten-minute walk to Lake Mühlwald is perfect for leisurely strolls. There is plenty to do at the Untermairhof not only in summer, but also in winter. The Familypark Tamarix, easily accessible on foot, is an Eldorado for little snow freaks, while the renowned ski areas such as Kronplatz, the largest ski area in the world (22 km away), Speikboden (8 km away) and Klausberg (15 km away) make skiers' and snowboarders' hearts beat faster.

Neighbourhood information

When the sun is rising over Untermairhof, our young people are often already as busy as bees, because there is much to do. A giant yard with a lounging area, a playground, a volleyball net, a trampoline, a children’s playroom with a library and a barbecue area, are just a few of the many places where you can spend your time having fun. Countless hikes lead directly into the adventure or via a 10-minute walk to Lake Mühlwald, a true paradise not only for fishermen, but also for lovers of good Italian pizza in the Meggima restaurant (directly on the lake).
