Our hobby is to travel. We love meeting new cultures and we are fascinated by their history. Although our travels so far have mainly been in Europe, we appreciate Japanese culture, including manga and anime. We therefore wanted to build a place where our guests have everything they need to relax and discover old Lucca

Le rondini di San Donato is a typical Lucca countryside restored house with fascinating stone walls and earthenware tiles. Featuring free WiFi, air conditioning and air purifiers in common areas, the property is located in Lucca, near highway (500 m from the Lucca Ovest and 1 km from Lucca Est highway exits), just 2km from the city center, and 2.4 km from the Train station. Pisa International airport is 18km from the property. Private parking is available on site. All units feature a satellite flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Towels, bed linen and courtesy kit are provided. All units feature a sitting area for your convenience. Other cities near the site are Pisa (19km), Viareggio (23km), Livorno (47km) and Florence (80km), all of which are quickly reachable by highway

Neighbourhood information

The place in whitch our building is positionated is peaceful and quiet, but very near Lucca's city center. Lucca is a medieval city famous for his monumental fortifications (Mura di Lucca) and it's worth visiting his biggest churches( San Frediano, San Martino and San Michele) too. In San Martino Church you can found pehaps the most important object of medieval Lucca: the Holy Face (Volto Santo), a life-sized wooden crucifix of unknown origin who is still object of devotion. Devoted to the Holy Face there is an annual candlelit procession (Luminara) on 13 September. Other interesting events in Lucca are Lucca Summer Festival, a music festival(in the Summertime, usually from the end of June to the end of July) and Lucca Comics&Games(from the end of october to the beginning of november), the largest comics festival in Europe and the second biggest in the world after the Comiket in Tokyo.
