Ancient house in the historic village of Badia a Passignano, completely and finely restored in 2022. The house has a double exposure overlooking the Chianti vineyards and the church of San Biagio and the monastery. Developed over 2 floors, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 complete with shower and bidet, 1 with sink and toilet). it is part of the ancient village built around the abbey of the Benedictine order of Vallombrosa, which was founded by San Giovanni Gualberto in 1049 but then remodeled in the following centuries with extensions and structural changes. The Borgo di Badia a Passignano is at the center of the only protected area of ​​Chianti, which was established by the Municipality of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa in 2008. Badia a Passignano is considered the most spectacular monastery in Chianti In addition to the historical and architectural importance of the Abbey, and the presence of flora and fauna protected by regional directives, the area is of considerable importance from a landscape point of view. In fact, in this area you can admire the typical elements of the Chianti landscape: entire hills covered by long rows of vineyards or various crops, alternating with others covered with olive groves or luxuriant woods that surround the beautiful and important Badia

Visiting the Abbey of Badia a Passignano is certainly among the main attractions of Badia a Passignano there is the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, with a Latin cross plan with a single nave and dating back to the 12th century; inside, the Last Supper of the Badia di Passignano, built by Domenico Ghirlandaio with the collaboration of his brother David, datable to 1476 and before the rehearsals on the theme of the Last Supper that the artist performed.
