The area where the house is located is Carmignano, a small town that straddles Prato and Florence. Unlike many areas of the Tuscan countryside, the strong point of Carmignano is that the countryside, rich in vineyards and olive groves that produce high quality oils and wines and well connected to the city and therefore a few minutes by car from the house there are villages where you can find shops, supermarkets, restaurants. There are opportunities to do wine tasting tours in wonderful cellars and villas in the area such as the wonderful Medici villa La Ferdinanda, in Artimino. Also in Artimino it is possible to visit the Etruscan museum, where some beautiful Etruscan artifacts found in the Carmignano area are preserved. The village of Artimino is one of the most characteristic, with its panoramic position and its typical restaurants. It can be reached from the house in 5 minutes by car.
I am Brenda and I grew up in this house and for me it is a pleasure to see people enjoying their vacation in my favorite place. I am happy to help guests if they have questions about the area to visit, places to eat or drink or buy typical products and I know how to evaluate whether the guest is in the mood to get to know each other or wants to remain in their privacy. For any problem or request we are always available so we can collaborate, so don't be afraid to ask! Friendliness and mutual respect are fundamental. I am happy to speak English and German (I lived in Berlin for 7 years where I worked as a graphic designer) and I make myself understood in Spanish and French. I play the clarinet, I love to draw, knit, weave baskets and weave with the loom or in general to deal with fibers and yarns. You can find me in the structure in July and August while in the other months my father and his wife are present who speak a little English. However, I am available all year round by call or message.
