My home is situated in a strategic position, on a hilltop overlooking the Lastrigiana valley and the sun-roof terrace faces the magnificent, renowned Tuscan hills which are dotted with villas, churches, bell towers, Florence's famous cathedral, the Duomo and even Caruso's imposing villa in the distance. B&B L'Orologio is a renovated 17th century apartment in villa which is under the protection of the ''Belle Arti'' the institution for the preservation of historic buildings. It is situated in the locality of Signa called Castello, Castle, a quiet, residential, mediaeval part of the town, unique in atmosphere and beauty and also of historic interest. It is connected to the modern part of the town which offers many bars pubs, caffe's, shops and restaurants. The local train station is an 8 minute walk down the hill from the B&B which makes traveling very convenient as one can leave the car behind. To get to Florence for example, is only an 18 minute journey and no hassle for finding and paying for parking. Trains run frequently until midnight. I RENT E- BIKES for the more sporty ones as theres also a very picturesque cycle track from Signa to the centre of Florence along the Arno River and the park of the Medici Family, The Cascine! An occasion also to spend some time exploring the nearby beautiful surrounding countryside of Signa, dotted with many villages full of historic interest.

About 2km. away there is the Renai... a vast, natural park surrounded by lakes. One lake has a beach for the hot summer months where as another lake offers a Jet Ski service. There is also a restaurant pizzeria with a dance floor which is open till late at night, a swimming pool, mini golf and other activities for all the family to enjoy. It is very popular during the hot summer evenings. It's also very pleasant to go there to do jogging or for a bike ride. Exclusively for my guests, I have E-BIKES to rent on a daily basis.
