We are a family of five that have lived and worked in the area all our lives and very much like the small town feeling of Reykjanesbaer. In our spare time we like to travel, both around Iceland and to other countries.

Property information

The Little Guesthouse Downtown is a simple, self-service facility without a reception. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has three rental units (single, double and triple rooms), a large shared bathroom with a shower and washing machine, and a nice living room and kitchen that are also shared. The kitchen has a refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, cattle, pots and pans and all regular kitchen ware. THE SINGLE ROOM - PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE SINGLE ROOM WE OFFER IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE HEATING. THE ROOM IS VERY WARM, WITH A FAN AND A WINDOW YOU CAN OPEN, BUT IF YOU LIKE TO SLEEP IN A COOL ROOM THIS ONE WILL NOT SUIT YOU. A fourth rental unit is located in the back yard, a one bedroom apartment that is rented out for three guests. The apartment has a seperate entrance, kitchenette and a private bathroom with a shower. If guests need to do some washing they can use the washing machine in the main house, before eight o´clock in the evening. The location of the apartment is excellant, on the main street of the town of Reykjanesbaer so shops, bars and restaurant are just a short walk away. The airport is a few minutes drive away. The property has a self-service check in so guests can check in any time they want after 16:00 or 4 pm. They will receive a message through Booking on the day of arrival with info regarding check-in. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE GUESTHOUSE IS SELF CHCK-IN AND DURING THE NIGHT THERE IS NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE. THERE IS NO LUGGAGE STORAGE AVAILABLE AT THE GUESTHOUSE AND WE DON´T OFFER BREAKFAST OR CAR SERVICE.

Neighbourhood information

The apartment is located at Hafnargata which is the main street of Reykjanesbaer. Most of the restaurants and shops are there so it only takes a minute or two to walk. You can also walk to the local swimming pool. KEF airport is less then 10 minutes drive away, the Blue Lagoon around 20 minutes and all the other wonders of Reykjanes can be reached in less than an hour. It takes around 45 minutes to drive to the capital Reykjavik.
