Chhotaram Prajapat’s Homestay, rather than being a hotel, is an initiative in reality. The initiative brings serene and authentic vistas to our visitors to relate to the ethnic essence of the land. The lay-out of this place remains unaffected from the drift in the tourism industry to delude the tourists who are unfamiliar with the cultural topography. We have taken an initiative to offer the unaltered and the real time panorama of our civilization. This helps us remain impervious to the spurious effects to delight the visitors that are nothing else but lame. We don’t have posh suites but our small dwellings match the genuineness of all comforts and that homely feel. We also don’t offer multi-cuisine but the food is just mouth watering made with extra care and we are famous for taste of our spices. Food prepared by Chhotaram’s wife and mother will be a treat for you, the dishes are just mouth watering and with typical Rajasthani taste and there’s no limit to the servings.
We are running a home stay on the out skirts of Jodhpur in the village Salawas which is just 20kms from city center. As we belong to the Weaver class, dhurrie (rug) weaving is our family business which we have been practicing since ages. We earn our daily breads from this business only. Earlier, we used to serve the noble families, for maharajas and landlords. As time passed, our families got involved in other businesses but were badly exploited by the business man. Chhotaram’s father, Pukhraj Ji setup a co-operative with 45 families involved in it. Pukhraj Ji has a lavish house in Salawas and has been converted in to a home stay for guests in the form of huts which stay cool in summers and warm in winters. Chhotaram Prajapat’s home stay is a very friendly place away from all hustles of the city. Guests are availed with typical Rajasthani home-cooked food. All delicacies are mouth-watering and prepared with full care keeping in mind the taste of their guests. We strive to make your stay a memorable one.
We are artist we do weaving which guest get chance to experience at our home. and My wife mamata do incredible cooking on open fire guest can join that. Merangarh fort and other monuments not very far from our place which is only 30 minutes drive from our place. We also have trandport facilities . We do Free pickup from Jodhpur Train station/Airport/Bus stand etc......
