We are Brigitte and Adrien and we love Ireland. We are both from Germany originaly. We moved to Ireland in 2019 to live here. Brigitte is staying in Ireland for more than 25 years a lot of times during each year. Beside our offers as German Tourguides we run "The Lookout" as an accomodation for travelers and groups. We are quite creativ people and we love to paint, to create knew things out of natural material, to do blacksmith works, to take photographs ore to produce sculptures. You will find a lot of the stuff thet we are producing in and around the house and in the rooms. We love to have people staying in the house and we know a lot about irish history and landscapes around Donegal and along the coastline of Ireland. We can arrange some unfogettable Adventure for you or just help you to organize your travels. We live next door on the same ground with our little Dog and we spent some time in the house as well. We are happy to give a warm welcome to you! So come in and LOOKOUT :-)

Just one step away of the WildAtlanticWay you will find "The Lookout" on your way from Ardara to Loughros Point. There you will find a cosy, warm and creativ place to stay. "The Lookout" is perfect to start your adventures in Donegal. You are invided to stay in the peaceful living room, beside the oven and with a breathtaking view out to Maghera Beach and the Atlantic Waves.Take a book or your painting stuffand relax. In the evenings our Pub Shuttle will bring you to the Pubs in Ardara if you want to listen to music or if you are going for a pint. The Lookout has got 4 rooms and fits all together 11 people. There is a common room with a sitting area, a cosy and warm fireplace, a selfcatering kitchen thats full fitted with pots and plates and cuttlery, a dishwasher, oven and micowave. Tea and coffee are for free for our guests. We have free WiFi in all of the rooms. You can use our Laundry service as well.

Neighborhood info

Ardara and the Loughros Point Peninsular are situated just a step away of many spectacular things to explore in Ireland. We are very close to the highest seacliffs of Europe - Sliabh Liag and its not far to go to the Harbour of Killybegs, to Errigal Mountain, Glenveagh National Park and even a daytrip to Aranmore Island or Fanad Head is possible from this place. There are a lot of worldwide famouse beaches arround and we have contact to many lokal people who offer riding, kayaking, historical and heritage daytrips or bikehire. In the little village Ardara are traditional Musik Festivals all year round. So you can honestly be sure - this is a perfect place for quite and peacefull moments as well as for a lot of options for stunning activities!
