Anima Retreat is nestled amidst the lush beauty of a traditional Balinese village where time sits still; we offer a unique experience that goes beyond the typical hotel stay and will give you a chance to nourish your soul through silence, peace and connection with nature. You will meet like-minded travellers, exchange stories, or indulge on a spiritual path. Anima is a shared property: there are 5 private, detached and independent rooms hidden among the vegetation of a 1 hectare garden. Garden area, two swimming pools and dining table will be shared. ADULT ONLY: due to its quiet and meditative nature, Anima Retreat follows an Adult Only policy. DOGS LIVING ON SITE. Our furry family of 4 dogs live on site; they are friendly and very curious. Be aware of this before booking. MEALS: The meals formula is ALL-INCLUSIVE, meaning breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as fixed set-menu of Balinese/Indonesian food only and are included in the price. Water, coffee and tea are also included. Please note we are not a restaurant, we serve home-style cooking meals.
I am Dewa, a Balinese man who's lucky enough to call Bali his home. I love spending time in nature, connect with the deepest healing powers of people's soul and share good positive vibes with everyone. My journey is all about fostering well-being and transformation, and I am excited to share it with you at Anima Retreat where I am backed up by a wonderful team that share all my visions.
Anima is located in a remote village called "Tegal Mengkeb" which literally means "Hidden Place". With lush vegetation, rice fields, desert beaches and authentic Balinese villages all around, the area is regarded as one of Bali's most traditional. We always encourage our guests to explore the area by foot; it is an incredible opportunity to understand Balinese life and habits as well as immerge into the real Balinese landscape. Rice fields paths surround the whole property and can be explored freely. Wild and dreamy beaches are within a 3km range and can be reached with a 5 minutes to 10 minutes motorbike ride. The property is quite far from the hustle and bustle of Bali; you will need at least a 20 minutes drive to meet supermarkets or restaurants.
