With the Elephant Temple being only one mile away, and our village being traditionally Balinese in custom, you will find uplifting and inviting temple ceremonies a daily and welcoming occurrence. Tastes of the great food and markets in nearby Ubud will further immerse you in the heavenly mix that is all Bali.

Sang Putu Ardana is a Clefs D' Or award winning concierge with more than 20-years experience managing 5-star resorts (Alila Resort, Ubud) and upscale villas. Sang Putu has much experience and takes pleasure from arranging and guiding nature tours (birding, river rafting, bicycle touring), as well as tours to experience colorful and interesting Balinese ceremonial events, and Balinese art experiences (painting, carving, jewelry craft and Balinese dance performance). It gives Putu great joy to share the best of Bali with our Alami Villa guests.

We are situated in a traditional Balinese village but on the end of a quiet street with sweeping views of the Petanu River valley. The only sounds are from the flowing river below and the breeze in the thatch. Just up river less than a mile is the Elephant Cave Temple (the oldest temple in Bali). The village "banjar" where village children are taught traditional Balinese dance and gambalan performance is situated just at the top of our street. We are close enough to downtown Ubud (around 2 miles) to where you can be there 10-15 minutes or you can stay-put to absorb the peaceful breezes of Alami Villa and let the tastes of Ubud come to you (many of the best restaurants deliver to the Villa free of charge or we will gladly organize a personal chef to prepare meals for you and even have a private dance and gambalan performance right at Villa Alami for you and your friends and family to enjoy on-site.
