Located in a quiet area of Korčula, about 2 km from the Old Town, Aminess Vival Port9 Residence offers an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Free WiFi is available and the nearest beach is some 400 metres away. All apartments are furnished, air-conditioned and feature a balcony. Culture and traditions of Korčula may be read in the stones. They are hidden in confraternities and awakened in knight games. They live in sculptures and are treasured in harmony signing group tunes. People of Korčula are especially proud of their traditional sword dance, Moreška, which used to be played all over the Mediterranean and which has been a tourist attraction on Korčula for over 400 years. The black king Moro and the white king Osman fighting for the love of a maiden called Bula has been the biblical message of good prevailing against evil told for centuries. Other towns have kept the tradition of kumpanije and moštra – sword dances originating from ancient carnival rituals. Religious tradition is kept by the confraternities with the oldest one of them dating back to 1301. Traditional crafts proudly produce the symbols of the island – boats, stone, fish, wine and olive oil.
