Welcome to Zorbas Apartments! We look forward to welcoming you and showing you around our beautiful Chios island. Chios offers a wide variety of sights to explore, including worthy museums, archaeological sights, historic monuments and natural wonders. It is reknown for its unique local cuisine and products, including the famous mastic gum, the citrus fruit, fresh seafood and the local Areiousios wines which are made according to an ancient local recipe famous from Homeric times. The island is off the beaten track for mass tourism, preserving its peace and identity; no holiday crowds here. There is a wide well preserved networks of walking paths and tracks ideal for a walking holiday to explore nature at its best. From March to May the island is popular with nature lovers who come to admire the local wild tulips and orchids that grow in the wild.

In the picturesque historic village of Volissos on the northwestern coast of Chios Island (40kms from Chios Town), for 30 years now, Mr Yannis & Mrs Evgenia Zorbas have been welcoming and hosting visitors from around the world at their traditional Zorbas Apartments house. "Zorbas Apartments" - built on a gently hillside overlooking the wonderful beaches of Limnos and Lefkathia, set amidst a garden full of scents and colors, is a peaceful heaven of care, comfort, homeliness in the spirit of genuine Chian hospitality! Accommodation consists of self-catering apartments; fully renovated superior studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments and a maisonette, with large balconies with views to the sea, with all modern amenities and facilities. The personal presence and care of the owners of "Zorbas Apartments" is your assurance for comfortable quality accommodation and friendly service at affordable prices. Traditional breakfast is available on request, Mr Yannis is a knowledgeable host, keen to show visitors around Chios. There are several walking paths in the area, monuments and sights for you to explore on foot or by car.

A number of tracks and paths of easy and intermediate levels of difficulty start from Volissos village and wound around the surrounding countryside and villages, allowing you to thoroughly explore the area on foot at your leisure. The medieval village of Volissos and its amenities is but a pleasurable walk away. The refreshing waters of the North Aegean Sea and the delights of the sandy and shingle beaches of Limnos and Lefkathia are a short stroll downhill. The celebrated monastery of Agia Markella is some 4 kms away on the coast. The historic site of Agio Galas with its medieval monastery, natural caves and park is 26 kms away. Agiasmata with its natural thermal springs and public baths is 18 kms. The Ariousios winery for tasting the famous local wines 16 kms.
