This romantic traditional house was built during the middle Ages.It was constructed by a countryman who obviously possessed the gibts of the famous lover Casanova and therefore was named after him.Even nowadays the house is known as Casanova's house. We are located among the cobblestoned narrow streets of Emporio. Emporio is the biggest and historical community of Santorini away from the buzzling crowds of tourists. Its fully renovated by traditional craftsmen. Its a 3 floors traditional house.

The house is located in a very quiet and beautiful area. Its the most traditional village in Santorini with a castle! The castle of Emporio and the Tower of Nimborio (as the village also used to be called) is at the largest village of Santorini, on the south part. Emporio village was the commercial center of the island and the purpose of the castle was to guard the transactions and the residents in general, mainly from the perilous pirate invasions which were common during the Frankokratia in Cyclades. Thus the Venetians built five fortified settlements throughout Santorini to shield themselves. I would recommend you to rent a car to explore the island. Of course you could rent atv or scooter. In case you wish to use the public transportation the bus stop is 3 minutes walking away.
