Rob and Tracy Welcome You to Under the Stars Shepherd Huts at Harbors Lake!
Discover a tranquil escape where you can unwind, disconnect, and embrace a slower pace of life in our charming, traditionally built shepherd huts, 'Sukey' and 'Nell.' Nestled in a serene rural setting, these huts offer a glamping experience like no other, complete with neighbouring sheep to keep you company. Whether you seek relaxation or a base to explore the island's stunning beaches, water sports, and attractions, our huts provide the perfect getaway.
Our accommodations boast spectacular countryside and distant lake views. Each hut features a comfortable double bed, a well-equipped kitchenette with a hob and microwave, a cozy seated area with a table, and a traditional log burner (Nell) or electric log heater (Sukey) for those snug evenings in.
You'll enjoy the convenience of a private en suite bathroom with a flushing toilet and a power shower with plenty of hot water. Step outside to your private decked area, perfect for alfresco dining whilst watching the sunset over the downs or by stargazing under a cozy blanket. For guests staying two or more nights, we offer a portable BBQ with complimentary charcoal.
Enhance your stay with a breakfast platter, available to order and purchase the previous day, and cook at your leisure. We also provide an iron and hairdryer for your convenience on request. Free car parking is available, making it easy to explore the island using the regular bus service (No. 8) at the end of the lane and cycle paths for those who prefer to explore off the beaten track.

As they enter their third glamping season, Rob and Tracy proudly offer two bespoke, cosy huts—'Sukey' and 'Nell'—privately located on the picturesque Isle of Wight. They are thrilled to share that they won a 'Bronze Award' in the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards for 'Best Place to Go Glamping 2024.' and more recently Booking com awarded them the Traveller Review award 2025 for their 9.6 out of 10 review score this achievement is down to the amazing feedback from previous guests.
At Under the Stars, Rob and Tracy take pride in providing a warm, personal welcome. Guests are met at the private, free parking area, where assistance with luggage is offered, or a trolley is loaned for convenience. The charming shepherd huts are just a short, scenic walk away through the fields. For those looking to embrace farm life, guests can arrange with their hosts to feed the sheep and lambs and Fresh free range eggs are available to purchase at the gate, whilst a breakfast platter can be ordered the day before for guests to cook at their leisure.
Under the Stars is dog-friendly with no additional charge for well-behaved canine companions. Dogs should be kept on a lead and supervised at all times to ensure the safety of the sheep and lambs behind the electric fence. Bringing dog towels is helpful for rainy days, but they can also be provided. Please note, dogs should not be left alone in the shepherd huts at any time. Dog bowls and towels are available upon request. Most island pubs and restaurants are accommodating, making it a fantastic and inclusive experience for all.

- Goddards Brewery is a new attraction, a mere 10-minute walk via footpath, where you can view the brewing process and sample fine ales at their balconied restaurant.
-The Pedlar's Cafe, located on the old railway line (now a cycle path), is perfect for a short ride for delightful refreshments.
