    The hosts could not have been more welcoming. We arrived later than expected and couldn't get a taxi into Buxton, the host then drove us into Buxton without any quibble. Plus a fabulous breakfast the following morning just capped a lovely stay.

A grade 2 listed Barn Conversion set in the small hamlet of King Sterndale, 3 miles from Buxton in the heart of the Peak District. There is no through traffic, it's an idyllic peaceful sight surrounded by fields and woodland.
Aside from all the attractions that nearby Buxton offers there are walks from the doorstep that include sights of special scientific interest as well as pretty walks in the area which is full of local history. There is an ancient butter cross and delightful little church. We r within easy reach of both the Dark and White peak and the gritstone climbing edges. Thee are several cycling trails nearby.
