We both take great pleasure in traveling and dining out. Reading and exercising also takes up any spare time that we may have, after tending to the needs and desires of our many and varied guests. We enjoyed informing them of places to dine, routes to take and places to visit and sites to see.

Property information

In 1982 the Jennings purchased the run down guest house, that is now The Jays Guest House. They renovated it and built a further extension to it adding several rooms in 1993. The premises are decorated and furnished to a high standard, which has enabled it to be awarded with 4 Stars from VisitScotland and successive yearly Certificates of Excellence from Trip Advisor - where we have maintained a high ranking. This place has been in business for 32 years. Both of us takes great satisfaction in providing our guests with a homely atmosphere, in pleasant and comfortable surroundings. We intend to continue with our present lifestyle and continue meeting and greeting our guests.

Neighbourhood information

Aberdeen is the third largest city in Scotland, where the Dee and Don rivers meet the North Sea. With a booming offshore petroleum industry, the city is home to an international population. Its Aberdeen Maritime Museum, with interactive exhibits on the historic local shipping, fishing and oil industries, affords panoramic views of the busy harbour. The Jays Guest House is located near the city centre and is handily places for Aberdeen University, Sports Village, Sea Beach Leisure Centre and Family History Society. The Jays is on a main bus route for city and rural trips. The lovely sea beach is only 10 minutes walk away and the centre of town, only a little further. The Jays Guest House is less than half a mile from Police Scotland Recruitment and Training Centre, Nelson Street, Aberdeen AB24 5EQ Aberdeen is a cosmopolitan city with all the usual attractions and leisure activities. It is also a hive of activity for business visitors, with numerous retail and business parks. All in all Aberdeen can provide its visitors with varied leisure and business pursuits. Alice and George are only too happy to advise and suggest on their guests varied activity requests.
