With plenty to do and see in the local area this is the perfect base for big family holidays, large group celebrations, hen/stag weekends and self-catering corporate stays. Walks, mountain biking and clay pigeon shooting all on the doorstep. Guests have exclusive use of the property and gardens. We are dog friendly too! Local activities include: Coed Llandegla Mountain Bike Centre, clay pigeon shooting at Fauxdegla, off road driving at Motor Safari Bwlchgwyn, all within a 5 minute drive, Offa's Dyke passes our door step, one minute from our venue, white water rafting from Llangollen 10 minutes away, zip wire at Bethesda 45 minutes, Surf Snowdonia 1 hour, Snowdon 1 hour. Walking holidays are very popular as we are literally on Offa's Dyke trail. The perfect venue for family holidays, groups of friends getting together, stag and hen parties, weddings, conferences and business meetings. We have a chef who we can highly recommend. They can either drop off a meal for you already prepared for your friends/family if don't fancy cooking yourselves. Alternatively if you wanted a special meal prepared for an occasion they will come in set up the banqueting tables for you, waitress serve to the table, clear up - a perfect stress free way of entertaining,
The renovation After 12 months of planning and a considerable amount of hard work, The Grousemoor Country House opened it's doors in Llandegla. The premises had been allowed to fall into a very poor state of repair, however with a lot of vision, a great team of excellent tradesmen and tender loving care the property has been completely refurbished, both inside and out and now offers luxury accommodation we are totally proud of! Many people will remember the old name, the Plough, which for decades was a popular watering hole for local people and visitors from far and wide. We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay.
The Grousemoor is very accessible, in a tranquil location, surrounded by breathtaking countryside, a perfect place for activity breaks or simply to relax in our luxurious surroundings. If you are visiting the Llangollen International Music Festival, www.international-eisteddfod.co.uk, then The Grousemoor is the ideal place to stay, approximately 15 minutes drive away via the stunning Horseshoe Pass.
