No '9 The Cooperage' is a former family home, 1 of 18 semi-detached houses built by CHAP 2008/2009. Set within the quiet hamlet of Auchleven, aka Premnay. The style of home 'The Kildren' is Traditional/ Modern, to reflect its rural location. Historically, the site was used for the production of whiskey barrels, 'coopering', hence the name. Sadly, none of the original factory/granite stone buildings could be incorporated, within the new development. the Village Hall now being the sole hub of the community. providing all being . Modern amenities are within easy reach at nearby Insch, Alford, Inverurie, Huntly & Aberdeen. is also in the heart of Aberdeenshire. We are fortunate to live in a rural hamlet of Auchleven, aka Premnay. The former Parish of Premnay Church is now private home. owned, however, the car park & idyllic kirk yard have b retained by Aberdeenshire Council. home.
