18th century barn on a horse stud farm on the Suffolk Coast. Converted to provide a spacious, open planned living space with exposed beams, large bedrooms and large oak surrounded bath (no shower) and leather sofas and a wood burning fire. Bedroom 2 on request as: 3 x single beds or 1 Superking + 1 single Set in 100 acres of sheep and horse grazed water meadows. Locals include Barn Owls, Marsh Harriers and Kestrels. Great coastal and river walks, cycling, pub & restaurants within minutes walk. Sorry No Pets allowed.
A keen traveler, skier and sailor, we run one of the largest studs in the uk with 150 horses on over 600 acres of prime pasture, along with pet sheep, goats, pigs and the farm cat!
Situated 5 minutes drive Orford one of the prettiest villages in Suffolk, located on the river Alde which boast 2 pubs, the famous Crown & Castle hotel & restaurant, the Butley Oyster fish restaurant, a Norman Castle, riverside walks and boats trips. We are also near the world famous Snape Maltings concert hall and the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh. There is very limited local bus services, and the nearest train station is 20 minutes drive away. We would advise coming by car, although the nearest train station (Melton/Woodbridge) means that it is possible to cycle to the property if travelling with a bike on a train. It is a very popular area for walking, cycling, and boating/canoeing.
