Hi I’m Angela I look forward to welcoming you to sunset House.
we're a convenient stop over, with easy access to the stunning Eden valley and lakeside walks. Nearby, Penrith (3 miles) is a vibrant historic market town at the heart of Cumbria, known for its cobbled lanes, independent shops, boutique cafes and impressive 14th-century castle ruins. For lakeside adventures, head 8 miles to Pooley Bridge, a charming village. with elegant greystone houses and teashops, and the starting point for a popular boat trip: sail to Howtown, hike to Glenridding, and return by boat – one of Wordsworth’s favourite routes. You’ll also be well placed for day trips to Carlisle and Keswick (both 18 miles). Lovely dog walks up the lane near the bed and breakfast. The pub in the village gets busy at times, in order not to be disappointed book a table should you want to dine.
