Pen Cefn is owned and run by Medwyn, who loves nothing more than the great outdoors. Medwyn offers you a friendly, first class service that will make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. They will always be on hand to offer advice about nearby attractions, eateries, watering holes and much more. Around the farm Medwyn will be seen looking after the new born lambs, sheep, ducks and free-range chickens – helped by their friendly Labrador Winnie. He is also a keen gardener and enjoys planting and cultivating her own fruit and veg. One of Pen Cefn’s most exciting times in the farming calendar is lambing season –Medwyn is more than happy to share this experience with you (January – March only) With its rolling countryside, secluded location and cosy interior Pen Cefn offers the perfect getaway. Whatever the purpose of your visit a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.

Property information

Under the Milky Way our Stargazer Bell tent is set on a 25 acre traditional sheep farm in the heart of North Wales. Only 5 minutes from the A55 expressway Pen Cefn is a perfect base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. The aim is to offer almost-wild camping. There is a toilet, and new shower this summer and wash basin. Inside the Bell tent, is a double bed made up with luxurious bed linen (pillows and a duvet provided). Floor rugs, beanbags, fairy lights, and lanterns give it a cosy feel. For the outdoor space a fire pit / barbecue is provided. You might find it useful to bring: slippers (for inside the tent), extra layers, a camping stove and gas canister (please do not use this inside the tent).

Neighbourhood information

The farm is set in 25 acres of beautiful countryside close to the village of Dolwen. Only 5 minutes from the A55 expressway Pen Cefn is a perfect base for exploring North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. There are nearby castles, outdoor activities, mountains and miles of beautiful coastline. Anglesey, Conwy, Llandudno the Great Orme and Chester are all within easy reach.
