Fay and Dane have taken over the Stables Guest House after careers in teaching and IT. They have welcoming, clean, tidy facilities with a choice of double or twin rooms. For the less mobile ground floor doubles can be specified when booking. Dane & Fay love this area and have been holidaying here for many years, in Dane's case, at least 40 years. They love the walking and cycling in the area and can advise on routes. Dane is a keen amateur astronomer and can advise on great observing locations and what can be seen (if the sky is clear as well as dark!). Dane is also a Cytech level 2 qualified bike mechanic, and can help out with over-night fixes, for more serious requirements, the local bike shop is 200 meters down the road.

There are also a range of restaurants and cafes. The Stables guest house is only 4 miles from Kirroughtree mountain biking and walking centre.
