We opened to guests in July 2024 and offer three en-suite bedrooms, quietly located on the ground floor. Guests have shared use of a downstairs dining/ coffee area for breakfast and morning coffee etc and till 11pm evenings. There's even a vintage jukebox.
Upstairs, from 5-8pm, guests have use of the living space with its balcony and bar area with sweeping views out to sea and across the Ridings Nature Reserve. We offer a range of complimentary food and nibbles at this time as an ideal complement to a late afternoon or evening drink before heading out to dinner or to explore nearby Margate or Broadstairs.
Bedrooms have Smart TVs, as does the upstairs living space.
The property is furnished and decorated to a very high standard.
I am semi retired, having moved to Botany Bay four years ago. I'd always loved the beaches here - with so many fond memories from visits in my childhood.
I worked in the hospitality industry previously - and genuinely enjoy hosting guests to enjoy a supremely comfortable 'home from home' experience overlooking Botany Bay.
In addition to running this boutique 'B and B' I set up and run a non profit Community Interest Company that arranges year round beach cleaning and manages small patches of public land to promote tree planting and biodiversity in the Botany Bay area.
It's a quiet residential area - right on top of the beach. There's a great pub - The Botany Bay just a beach front stroll away. Margate is a 2 mile drive, and about the same to Broadstairs. Local beaches are Botany Bay (immediately opposite us), Foreness (unofficially used by naturists), Kingsgate Bay, Joss Bay - all within just a few minutes walk. At low time you can walk the shoreline into Broadstairs.
