I loved the peace and quiet and my room was beautiful with little added extras like books and information to read and little cotton buds and cotton face pads in the trinket boxes ❤️❤️

Great accommodation - Catherine is a superb hostess. Very helpful and organised. The property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. I only stayed the one night and used a taxi to get me to the airport. I didn’t have time to explore public...

What a hidden gem this place is in Edinburgh! Catherine is a wonderful host and the place is stunning. There are two stunning rooms in her place with a shared bathroom, kitchen area and sitting room. This is not a bed and breakfast or a hotel....

A relaxing and welcoming space in a quiet neighbourhood with a very comfy bed to give you a restful night's sleep...please note you will be staying within my home:) All bedding and towels are 100% good quality cotton and we like big bath sheets after a hot shower:) The guest bathroom is shared with only one other guest and is cleaned and sanitised daily. There's plenty of hot water at all times! Please note that there are 2 guest rooms in my home and one shared guest bathroom. Rooms are bookable for one person only - thank you! Homemade eco/non toxic cleaning products used! The shared kitchen has a coffee maker, teas and biscuits which you are welcome to help yourself to and there is always plenty dairy milk and oat milk in the fridge for you. The living room is available if you wish to relax with a cup of tea! and I am usually around if you need me. As well as your own private large double bedroom with a thumb-turn lock, you have shared access to the front door, stairwell, guest bathroom, living room and kitchen. In the summer you are welcome to enjoy a cuppa in the garden. The front door is at the right side of the house, through the wooden gate. After one short set of stairs, it opens up into the main part of the house where there are 2 floors with 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and guest bathroom. We are in the upper maisonette and your bedroom and bathroom is on the first floor (bathroom shared with one other guest). There is a folding dining table in the living room with folding chairs so you can always eat dinner comfortably at a table and you can store any food items in the kitchen, there is plenty space in the fridge. Recently renovated and redecorated, it is a tranquil space with garden if you like to enjoy your morning coffee outside, sometimes with local wildlife!
Super peaceful and friendly residential neighbourhood with convenience shop at the end of the street and a large Morrisons supermarket less than 10 minutes walk from the house. Lots of trees and small parks are dotted around the area with a pedestrian/cycle path nearby, a popular dog walking area! There are 5 different bus services taking you to different parts of the city / centre, all with bus stops less than 10 minutes walk away from the house (numbers 8, 14, 19, 21 and 27) Depending on traffic the buses take around 30 minutes to get into the centre of the city. The Royal Botanic Gardens are a 15/20 minute walk (and a really beautiful sanctuary to enjoy). The bustling bohemian Stockbridge is only a further 10 minute walk from here, with an amazing choice of independant, cafes, restaurants and shops. Walking into the centre will take between 45 - 60 minutes depending on your walking speed! Its a beautiful walk in either via Dundas Street, Broughton Street or the aforementioned Stockbridge. If you want to walk down to the sea, this is about a 12 minute walk which can then take you from Wardie Bay (usually some locals taking a dip) down to Newhaven Harbour (enjoy amazing fish and chips at the Fishmarket) or if you want a long walk, you can go in the opposite direction once down at the water along to Cramond beach.
