Paxville is a delightful bungalow completely refurbished and upgraded in 2023 with comfort in mind, and has been beautifully decorated throughout. Paxville has a wonderful open outlook with the Cumbrian hills as a backdrop. The living room looks out over the garden towards the Solway Coast and has a large comfortable sofa and armchairs where you can sit back and relax after a day exploring.
Easily accessible to many of the major routes, the M6 and A75 are just 5 minutes away, making Paxville the ideal base for exploring the wonders that Dumfries and Galloway as well as the lakes and hills of the Lake District National Park have to offer. Visit Gretna Green, synonymous with romance and runaway couples, and one of the world’s most popular wedding destinations where marriage ceremonies are still performed over a blacksmith’s anvil. Less than a mile away is Caledonia Park Designer Outlet (formerly Gretna Outlet Village) with over 45 stores, a real shoppers paradise! This area of Dumfries and Galloway, situated on the Solway Coast, has plenty for all ages including wonderful sandy beaches and cliff top walks, golf courses, fishing, many historic sites and castles, and lovely little towns and villages to visit. A must, and just along the road from Paxville, is a visit to the Devil’s Porridge Museum, where you can learn the story of how this area flourished into a hub of wartime activity.
