Moorside is the family home to Sam and her sons as well as their pet cat Haggis. Sam has been running guest accommodation on Skye for over 14 years.

Moorside Rooms is a guest house offering a mix of Bed & Breakfast and Room Only accommodation. A Free Complimentary Continental Breakfast will be provided in your room for the first morning of your stay. The rest of your stay will be Room Only. Sorry, we can't accommodate children under 5 years old. A central and rural location on Skye so a car is essential as we are 4 miles from Portree. We have a selection of ensuite rooms and family rooms. All rooms have garden views, a TV and hairdryer. Free parking onsite and free WIFI. All rooms contain tea/coffee making facilities, a hospitality tray and a small mini fridge. There is no self catering facilities and cooking is not allowed in the rooms. Also, no laundry service is available however, there are public launderettes in Portree & Staffin. Due to family and other work commitments I'm not always available onsite throughout your stay but so you are not left waiting to check in, we operate a Self Check In process using a key code. During the week leading up to your arrival, you will be emailed our Digital Welcome Guide and Key Code for the Entrance Door.

We are centrally located in a rural village 4 miles from Portree, 11 miles to Uig, 17 miles to Dunvegan. A car is essential as public transport is infrequent and there are NO pubs, restaurants or shops within walking distance.
