Bankfield Cottage is a newly developed barn conversion nestled in the tranquil village of Great Urswick located in the South Lakes. A perfect base for relaxing and exploring the lakes with the market town of Ulverston just 5 minutes away by car and the southern end of Lake Windermere only 20 minutes away.
You will be left to enjoy your stay in complete privacy, however, we are close enough to be on hand if you need us to address anything at the property. Access to the property on arrival will be via a key within a key safe outside of the property. The code for the key safe will be sent to you approximately 7 days prior to your arrival. A new code will be issued for each booking.

Great Urswick is a peaceful south Lakeland village conveniently located close to the market town of Ulverston as well as Birkrigg Common and Bardsea Beach. Bankfield Cottage is only a 5 minute walk to the cozy village pub The General Burgoyne, which offers good quality food and drink. There is a small, well equipped playground within the village. The market town of Ulverston is just a 5 minute drive away and offers an array of independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a Booths, M&S Food Hall and Aldi supermarket just outside the town of Ulverston.
Approximately 30 minutes drive away is Bowness-on-Windermere and the heart of the Lake District. Keen walkers have the entire Lake District on their doorstep as well as plenty of quiet public footpaths on the doorstep.
South Lakes Safari Zoo is only a 10 minute drive away.
The best way to get to us and enjoy the surrounding area is by car although there are some lovely walks and a beautiful tarn right on the doorstep.
