Meadow View is located to the west of the North York Moors National Park near the town of Thirsk. The ideal place to stay for plenty of walking and exploring this stunning countryside offering an ideal getaway for families and friends looking to get away from it all. This lodge is beautifully placed for walking on Sutton Bank and for seeing the famous Kilburn White Horse nestled atop a verdant hill. The open-plan living room invites you to enjoy your down time on the sumptuous sofa with a glass of your favourite tipple, or curl up in one of the armchairs in front of the TV. A contemporary feel stretches across the interior, from the wonderfully appointed kitchen to the decking outside. Floor-to-ceiling picture windows allow the natural light to flow through the living space, with views across the park, backed by sweeping countryside. There are two bedrooms to choose from comprising a double and a twin, with a modern family bathroom serving the two. The decked terrace outside is perfect for watching the sun set across the park. The market town of Thirsk is a five-minute drive away with plenty of shops and eateries, along with superb Georgian buildings No children under 12

We are Phillip and Angela, a retired couple living in East Yorkshire and bought Meadow View lodge after spending many holidays in the area over the years. We love to welcome guests to our lodge to appreciate the stunning countryside the North Yorkshire moors offers.

Visit the National Park Centre at Sutton Bank and plan your day ahead, with challenging circular walks, cycling routes and adventure in abundance. The market town of Thirsk is a five-minute drive away with plenty of shops and eateries, along with superb Georgian buildings and a leisure centre. We have a golf course which is approx 7 min drive from the lodge and various fishing lakes in the local area. Further afield, explore the eastern coastline and the town of Whitby, with its 199 steps climbing up to its magnificent abbey. Located close to the main coast road from Morecambe to Scarborough, you have easy access to many attractions near and far.
