Complete privacy and the space to unwind, rejuvenate and reconnect with nature whilst on the doorstep to all Peak District attractions. Newly converted in Summer 2021 by Paul & Lisa, The Garden Nook set within 55 acres of private land, gardens and fruit orchards presents you with an unrivalled level of tranquility. Inside a comfy contemporary haven with tasteful decoration, stylish furniture and spectacular views. The 1 bedroom holiday home features a living room upstairs taking full advantage of the panoramic views, a flat screen TV , a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, combo microwave/oven and seating area for both dining and lounging. The bedroom is ground floor with a 4 poster king size bed and bathroom with a popular large bath tub and walk-in shower. The property has its own private entrance and sitting out lawned area with garden furniture, next to the fruit orchards and resident flock of sheep and lambs.
Hello from the beautiful Derbyshire Dales and Peak District! We have a busy family home and working farm on the hillside. It’s somewhat like ‘The Good Life’ here with our flock of 300ish sheep and lambs, hens scratching around in the orchard along with our resident peacocks, friendly cat and spoilt Spaniel! Paul knows everything (well almost!) there is to talk about sheep, tractors and farming in general and has a wealth of local knowledge. I enjoy a chat and a cuppa and am happy to advise on days out but your privacy is important so feel free to simply enjoy your space and the grounds. We just want to share our little haven of natural beauty and tranquility with you! Stay with us at The Garden Nook and check out our lambing experiences. We are on hand to ensure you enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay. I am happy to advise on days out but equally happy to give you complete privacy. Tinkersley is a sleepy little hamlet situated on the hillside of the Derwent Valley offering magnificent views over the Derbyshire Dales and Peak Disrrict. This unrivalled location is on the doorstep to all of the Peak District’s key attractions. Tinkersley offers easy access to Copy Wood and Rowsley Woods and miles of footpaths and open countryside. Alternatively a short walk away is Peak Rail with the opportunity to ride Peak Rail steam trains. Minutes away by car, explore the Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Matlock. Enjoy a wander or coffee break in some of the local picturesque villages of Edensor, Beeley, Pilsley, Ashford in the Water and Baslow. Chatsworth estate is less than 5 minutes away by car and has a full calendar of events almost year round. Bakewell is our nearest market town, 6 minutes away by car or equally reached on a scenic hike along country paths Bakewell captivates its visitors with specialist markets, strolls along the River Wye through the park, antique shops or simply people-watching in the many tearooms, or savouring the famous Bakewell Tart from the local pudding shop. Further afield Hathersage, Ladybower Reservoir, Carsington Water, Castleton, Edale, and Buxton all take 20-30 minutes.
