Kintail Cottage is set in the village of Blairmore, on the edge of the Trossachs National Park. The cottage is set within an acre of land, next to natural woodland and has a view of Loch Long. There is central heating in the cottage. Nearby are a number of wonderful sea and forest walks, Benmore Gardens, Dunoon, and it is within an easy commute of both Glasgow and Glasgow airport. The wifi is good if you want to work remotely. The cottage is cleaned after each set of guests. Dunoon has everything you need, and there are some great eateries around, including a cafe in the village. A great place to find peace and quiet, with easy access to the wonderful local landscape. There are no shared facilities apart from the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, and does not have a shower. Please be aware that the property is on a hill with steps/a path to climb, and this room is up some winding stairs. Therefore, please consider accessibility before you book.
I manage the property and am always at hand. I am not resident in the property itself. I aim to make your stay a happy one.
Blairmore Village has a cafe and gift shop. There is another cafe on Shore Road, a local pub, and several eateries nearby. Dunoon is 15 minutes drive away and has everything you need - supermarkets, a cinema, a leisure centre, and a range of shops. There is reliable public transport. Benmore Gardens, Lock Eck and Pucks Rest are easily reached, as are some wonderful forest and loch walks and The Trossachs National Park. Glasgow and Glasgow Airport are easy to commute to. The cottage is centred at the gateway to some fantastic landscape - from Taighnabruich to Loch Lomond - all easily reached.
